Event FAQ

Why is RIA rescheduling?
After careful consideration and in light of the proclamation signed by the Governor of Louisiana limiting gatherings of 250 people or more, the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) made the difficult decision to reschedule the 2020 Restoration Convention + Industry Expo, originally scheduled to take place April 14-16, 2020 in New Orleans, LA. Our decision to reschedule the meeting was not taken lightly. In monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local governments, it became apparent that we would need to reschedule the event.

Has the convention been rescheduled?
Yes. RIA has rescheduled the convention as a virtual event being held October 6 – 7, 2020. All attendees’ registrations will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled event. One additional complimentary registration pass will be provided to all full conference registrants.

Will paid attendee and exhibitor badge registrations be refunded?
RIA has rescheduled the meeting for October 6 - 7, 2020 as a virtual event and has added additional attendee benefits including two for the price of one registration passes, a 10% discount on the 2021 convention and complimentary access to the Virtual Conference held in April to deliver additional value for your registration fees. Therefore, we will not be refunding registration fees.

Will exhibitors/sponsors be refunded for exhibits/sponsorships?
RIA has rescheduled the meeting for October 6 - 7, 2020 as a virtual event which will include exhibit and sponsorship benefits such as product presentations, additional advertising a 10% discount on the 2021 convention and more. Therefore, we will not be refunding exhibit and sponsorships for the event. Please contact Christina DeRose, RIA Industry Relations Manager at 856-437-4742 or exhibits.ria@ahint.com for additional details.

Attendees who did not book a hotel in the official RIA housing block must contact their hotel/lodging directly to cancel reservations. RIA will not refund hotel costs.
